About

The project “Centralized Internship Support System for Greek Higher Education Students – ATLAS expansion” concerns the expansion of the existing service “ATLAS”.

The main objectives of the project are the upgrade of the "ATLAS" service in terms of supporting the processes of organizing and implementing student internships in companies or providers of the public/wider public sector and/or other providers, the implementation of more efficient ways to connect the education system with the labor market and the optimization of the procedures as they have emerged through suggestions of the involved bodies for the benefit of the users, as well as the upgrading of the role of the internship practiced by undergraduate students, to support the access to employment and optimize the first work experience.

The project includes indicatively the following additions/upgrades:

  • Verification of the Internship Providers via TaxisNet, which does not require any human intervention.
  • Logo and description registration capacity, for the Internship Providers.
  • Optimized search tool for Internship practices, incorporated in the student application.
  • Saving to favorites the Internship Practices of choice, so that they can be reviewed by the student.
  • Certification of Internship Completion, containing advanced characteristics (QR code)
  • Reference Letter provided to the candidate by the Internship Provider
  • Capability of uploading a CV, incorporated in the student application.
  • Enrichment of the student accounts with necessary information for managing their Internship Practice.
  • Option to state the funding resource of every Internship.
  • Special space for posting documents concerning the Internship.
  • Total user experience upgrade.
  • Constant smooth operation confirmation and assurance.
  • GDPR compliance

Upon completion of the project, the "ATLAS" service will become more user-friendly to the members of the academic community and Internship Providers, while simplifying the process of finding an internship, reducing bureaucracy and enhancing transparency.


The project is implemented within the framework of the "Public Sector Reform" business plan and is co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund and National resources.
